London - From Heathrow to the Intercontinental 02 (02 Arena)

I will be flying into Terminal 2 and think I will have 1 med./lg. piece of luggage and 1 rolling carryon. Can you tell me what is the best way to get from Heathrow to the Intercontinental Hotel 02 (which is next to the 02 Arena)? I would prefer elevators, but I think I can manage escalators. I doubt if I will be able to manage stairs with that amount of luggage. I was looking at the express to the jubilee, etc. That's when I started getting confused. You can change at Statford or Green Park, to Greenwich. I think. Yikes..... Can anyone help?

The TfL recommended route is Elizabeth Line to Bond Street, change to the Jubilee Line through to North Greenwich station- 1 hour 15 minute journey time, both elevators and escalators available at Bond Street and North Greenwich.

Thank you for the posts. I feel silly, but I am seriously geographically challenged and literally get lost wherever I go. I just don't want to miss trains. Traveling is already stressful. I want this to be as much of a stress free adventure as possible.

Thank you everyone.

No reason to feel silly! It is the wise traveler who researches ahead of time.

If you will be using public transport in London, I highly suggest the city mapper app. It is a game changer.

If travelling the above route, travel in the back of the Elizabeth line train for the change at Bond Street to be at the right end.

A slightly slower alternative is the Piccadilly Line to Green Park, change there for the Jubilee (go to the surface and back down for easiest route), and then the same there after. Ten minutes longer and £7.70 cheaper, still step free.

I question whether the OP will be able to handle 2 bags and getting on/off the tube. Despite the expense, perhaps a taxi is best?

What is the “OP”? Where do you suggest I take the taxi from? Heathrow? Or take the express to the first stop Green Park or Bond as that is a little closer to the InterContinental O2 and then take the taxi?

The OP is the Original Poster - that is yourself!

if you can manage the luggage for the first bit on public transport and then get a taxi you will be wasting money. Continue with the journey by Elizabeth Line and Tube, it will be just as easy.
