London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam?

Inspired by Ted Lasso to add Amsterdam to a 17 day trip Sept/Oct. Current plan is 5 nights London and 4 Edinburgh. Thinking fly to Amsterdam from Edinburgh and return to London day or two before flying home. Maybe spend last two days in Bath or Oxford. Another option is to add a stop in England and one in Scotland and leave Amsterdam for another trip! Not really interested in renting car and it seems like from reading the forum that’s it’s not that easy to get around some parts of England and Scotland without a car. We love cities, coastal towns, art, food, and lots of walking! Have reservations in London so far at Vancouver Studios and plan on some London Walks. Thanks!

Both Bath and Oxford can be reached by train. No car required. From Edinburgh, you could look at the tours available from Rabbies. But if you are going to add A'dam, it makes no sense to return to London- wasting time and money back tracking. See what you want to see in England. Then go to Scotland. Then A'dam. Fly home from there. Your flights would be on a multicity ticket instead of round trip.

Have you booked tickets yet? What about flying into Edinburgh, train to London, Eurostar to Amsterdam and fly home from there?

There is plenty to see in Great Britain other than London and Edinburgh.
Yes, Bath is good as well as Oxford, but consider more of the beautiful UK countryside. Winchester, Salisbury, Avebury, Canterbury, the Cotswolds, Windsor Castle, York, the Lake District, Stratford Upon Avon, and much more in Scotland.

We spend four weeks and only did South Wales and England, outside of London. Amsterdam is nice, but save it for another trip.

Fly home from Amsterdam on a multi-destination itinerary. Better still, forget the fictional Lasso to get to know Great Britain beyond the silver screen.
