Greetings. We are finding out the hard way that the week of April 13-20 is a very challenging week to find lodging in Haarlem due to the flower festival. We are two couples traveling together seeking 3 bedrooms, making it a bit more challenging than just two bedrooms. For the first three days we were encouraged to stay over by Weesp, but the next four days we'd love to have a home base in and around Haarlem. Now we're looking at Zandvoort, which appears to be a quick train ride back and forth to Haarlem/Amsterdam. Does anyone have experience staying in Zandvoort? We wish to spend at least 2 days in Amsterdam seeing the sights (Anne Frank House, Van Gogh & Rijks-Musem) and then explore via day trips to Keukenhof, Delft, a solid day trip to Rotterdam. Maybe Leiden & Hague. Traveling by train only. Are there other areas around Amsterdam we should be searching for lodging? Looking through AirBnB. Thanks for any recommendations/observations/advice.
