Liquid Medications

I have a prescription liquid nasal spray I need to bring with me on my trip to Prague. Do I need to put this medication in my one-quart bag (I am trying to not check my luggage) or can I keep it in another bag with my other medications without a problem? From what I'm understanding from the TSA website, do I just hand the bag of medications over to security agent and that will be ok?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I am currently traveling Europe and am diabetic. I loaded one bag with all of my liguid medications and tore the perscription off of the box it came in so that i could slide that in flat(less bulky) I have had no problem and have been in France, Italy and Spain.

We took many liquid medications. For the non-prescriptions I made sure they were in original bottles and put them in my checked luggage. For the prescription ones (we had lots including 2 nasal sprays) they must have the prescription sticker on them, or you'll need to take them in their original boxes with the sticker (like nasal spray boxes) and they must have the same name as are on your passport (ie. I go by Nancy, but my given name is Mary--name on prescription must be the same). I put these all together and put them with my quart size ziploc (of other liquids) in a seperate bin when going through security (did not have to "hand it" to them). We actually had a several gallon ziplocs of prescriptions plus some medical equipment for my family of 5 in our carry ons). Prescriptions (but not over-the-counter medications) are an exception to the quart bag rule and you can carry what you need.

Chris: Yes to your last sentence, as to US TSA regulations (possibly may be different in Europe)-- what you've said is also my understanding: a prescription liquid is allowed in any "reasonable" quantity, which can be larger than 3 ounces. And it is not to be put into your regular "3-1-1" bag but instead is to be kept separate and verbally declared to the TSA officer.
