Let us see your travel journals and blogs

I recently posted asking for ideas on which travel journal services you use and a couple of responses had their actual journals which are awesome. Check out:

I think many others would agree, I'd sure like to see journals from more of you. If you're of a mind to share, please reply with your journal addresses.

cheers,

Maggie

I am working on putting my May 2008 trip on a travel blog. So far this is what I have:

I am heading on a solo trip this May and am planning on bringing a netbook along so I can post my whereabouts so my husband can follow my travels (and keeps him from worrying!).

A not very active blog, but it has our trips to Berlin, Potsdam, Sachsenhausen and Normandy, with a few photos of the North Sea in Belgium, Potsdam and Normandy. You have to dig the travel stuff out of the rest of my ramblings. I do find blogspot to be very easy to use.

I haven't gotten a chance to read all of them, but did get to Maggies and Our Passports. Both of them are great. Maggie, you have such beautiful photos and your commentary is fun to read. Our Passports is put together so well, with lots of clever touches and also excellent pics. I did read the high school trip too, that must have been fun!

Thanks for sharing everyone! We get so few trip reports on here and it is so nice to hear about how things went, if you liked the recommendations we have made (or not)and what tips you would use the next time and all that kind of stuff. I hope more people send theirs in for us to read.

Awesome everyone. I'm really enjoying reading your blogs. I love the layout, features and photos of ourpassportstamps.

Kate, I'm just reading yours now. I'm reading your adventures about many of the places I've been and looking at your pictures, it's neat to be able to say, hey, I know where that is, I sat on that very bench to rest...

Jo, it's nice to get the perspective of someone that's been living in Europe for a long time, thanks so much. Are you from Ohio?

Iain, I've been wanting to ride the Rocky Mountaineer for some time, and when I go back to Europe, I'd like to travel by barge. Your posts will come in handy, thanks.

Lee, your research on the Romantic Road was awesome and it was interesting to see how the trip actually played out.

Gio. A fine host you are. I love your writing. And I do believe I am suffering from withdrawal you describe.

Tim, I haven't gotten to yours yet, but yours is next. A "bunch" of high schoolers huh, that must have been an adventure.

Thanks again everyone, keep them coming.

These are awesome! I have a few trips journals from over the years, but I wrote them for family/close friends, so I would have to work really hard to edit out the personal drama (kids barfing, husbands annoying).

PS- Dale Chihuly is a great artist, but he is allegedly a jerk (I live in his hometown)... My ex-SIL is a lawyer, and she makes me use the term "allegedly" a lot. ; )

Thanks! We took 6023 photos in Europe with our DSLR and those were the best. We spent about an hour a night in the hotel editing and uploading.

It was a labour of love...

you have us beat by about 3,000 pictures...and we thought we were overwhelmed in deciding what to add to our website..

WOW!

yours were all so beautiful!

I totally understand the labor of love statement..

I'm so glad Maggie started this thread, it gives us all a chance to share what we've done and see what others have come up with too...

all of our blogs are so unique to our personalities and travel styles that it's been total enjoyment for me to view!

Dear our passports, glad you liked the cakewrecks blog. It truly is the funniest thing online. I will sit here laughing and my husband will ask me, "are you looking at the funny cakes again?". My daughter likes it too and we will sit here with tears rolling, it is so funny.

Cake Wrecks is a work of genius. My colleague and I look at it at work and then desperately have to try and stifle our giggles!

I love travel blogs so I hope everyone posts theirs. I keep meaning to set one up, but I never get around to it. My friend took part in that take a picture every day for a year challenge and that was amazing so I am intending to do that as it should result in some cool pictures of London.
