Let’s all give Rick Steves and his team 👏👏👏

We have been touring since 2014 with Rick Steves company and have so much respect for Rick and the way he runs his business. Even after announcing your tour has been cancelled over and over he does it with grace and he keeps encouraging us..I just want to pat him On the back and stand up and cheer for him. He has done everything right as far as I can see from keepIng his employees employed and safe to encourage if us to keep on dreaming..
Sure, we are very disappointed like everyone not to hiking the alps this summer, we were booked on the My Way Alpine tour but let’s see if we can flood this forum with a big THANK YOU to Rick Steves for being a standup kind of guy..I found this Coronavirus, lockdown/ stay home order scary but I fortunate to only be stressed about my immediate family most of the time. Poor Rick to have thousands of people asking daily over and over what should I do..will my tour run....

I have read and watched the interviews and with each Interview my respect for the man grows and grows.
When Rick Steves says it is safe to travel and God willing we remain healthy we will book our My Way Alpine ASAP.
Thank you, Rick, for keeping us updated and our health and safety your number one priority.
We were one of the lucky tours in 2017 that Rick stopped by to say hello and thanked us for traveling with him at our farewell dinner on the Best of Switzerland tour.. he was just as nice in person...
All the best to you and your team.

Sue, I echo you words, three cheers to Rick and his staff. We happen to live in Edmonds and Rick is incredibly generous to our community. When we were on our RS Ireland tour last year, we saw him twice around Dublin! It was a pleasant surprise for our entire group. I wish him and his staff only the best in the future. We are already dreaming of the next tour we want to take with the RS organization.

If you take care of your customers, they’ll take care of you. And Rick’s more than a savvy businessman, he’s a good member of the worldwide community. Even those of us who haven’t booked a tour with Rick have benefitted from the information he provides and the connections he’s developed. A $24 investment in a Rick Steves guidebook pays dividends over and over. He’s surrounded himself with talented cohorts and the world’s a better place because of it. Hip hip hooray!

In addition to the guidebooks and videos, this forum has been a gold mine of information for me. I'm diligently digging through years of posts right now to gather information for the trip I hope to take next year. I really appreciate the resources devoted to keeping the forum alive in good times and bad.

The skies are blue, the temps are nice and it certainly feels like summer today in Edmonds.
It's an overused expression, but it's true: It's an Edmonds Kind of Day.

Rick and the team is each an Edmonds kind of guy/gal

Yes, a big virtual standing ovation for Rick. After discovering Rick’s guidebooks way back when, our method of travel changed and each trip was better then the last. We haven’t yet been on one of his tours, we were waiting till reitirment so we could avoid the dreaded summer months. We are retiring in July and are looking forward to booking Turkey in the very near future. Also, I want to attend his tour weekend! It always looks like fun on the videos.

Absolutely!! We were supposed to go to France in April, my husband/myself/and MIL, and we got every penny of our money back in a timely manner. It was done with a thank-you for your plans to travel with us, and please think of us for your future travels, which we are obviously going to do! Hopefully, June 2021. And he is keeping his staff employed, which is so important, and which we are so supportive of. THANKS RICK!!!

I have never taken a RS Tour but his shows and guidebooks have been a great resource for all my trips so I will add my cheers to him and his team.

If only half the businesses in this country were run as ethically as his we would all be better off. Kudos to him and the entire staff.

TC, you are absolutely correct. Cheers and thank you to Rick and his entire staff of very hard working and diligent employees. I am remaining hopeful to take our cancelled tours next year, or as soon as he decides it's safe to send guides and travelers to Europe again on his tours.

I agree wholeheartedly with all the praise for Rick, his staff and his company. There are few, in not only the tour business but business in general, who have the integrity that Rick and his company have displayed. My RS journey started with the shows, which then led to the guidebooks. I used to research every single guidebook when I traveled, but soon found out that all you need is Rick when it comes to pretty much any place in Europe. After years, and multiple trips, using his guidebooks, I finally checked out the website, and then after mining the website, particularly the forum, for travel pearls for another several years, took the plunge into his tours, and have been completed converted! Rick has really earned my trust and loyalty, because of the upstanding way he runs his company; he respects his customers and doesn't treat us as only a cash source. I am also so impressed with his commitment to being a global citizen, and trying to better the world as a whole. Cheers to Rick and his entire team - well-deserved!!!

Definitely three cheers for Rick and his whole team. We've loved watching his program and last year in planning for our (hopefully) upcoming trip to England we drove from Portland, OR to Edmonds to go to one of his country seminars and shop at the store. We had a great time and came away with travel luggage & guide books. Hoping that 2021 brings back travel for all of us.

While we haven't taken a RS tour (yet, definitely see some I will consider in the future), it's because of his shows, guidebooks, and commitment to having this forum with so many wonderful contributors that we did our first trip planned only by me, rather than a travel agent, in 2017. I don't know if I would've taken the plunge without these tools, and have done a couple more trips since then. That he is such an inspirational global citizen is icing on the cake. Bravo to RS and his team!

I have been watching the RS shows on PBS for decades. When I retired and decided I wanted to travel again it was a no brainer to pick a RS tour. I took my first RS trip last October to Ireland. It was the first time I would be traveling alone so I was pretty nervous about it. Thankfully, I met a wonderful group of people who were welcoming and invited me to join them for meals and activities during our time off. I had a fantastic Tour Guide and bus driver and the tour was very well run. I had the time of my life. That tour sealed the deal. I would only travel on a RS tour. I booked BOE for September 20 that just got canceled. As I watched the RS company get proactive about canceling tours two months out back in March I was really impressed. I wasn’t sure if my September tour would run, but I decided if they were going to run it I would go. I had a lot of confidence in Rick’s integrity and his demonstrated care and concern for the safety of his tour members, as well as, his care and concern for what was going on in Europe. If Rick said it was safe to go that was good enough for me. He obviously has a great love of Europe. This was personal for him. Thank you Rick Steves and your entire staff for the stellar way you have helped us travel in the past and for the professional and responsible way you have handled this pandemic. I hope you will help us “keep on travelin’” in the future too.

Perhaps we can give more than a round of applause. That doesn't pay the bills.

Ready to book 2021 Scotland!

Cape Cod? Wow! I can't even afford a hotel nearby.
