For clothes, books, and everyday items — I boxed everything myself and used Shipixy to compare rates across carriers without having to call anyone or negotiate. You just enter the package dimensions, weight, and destination and it pulls discounted rates instantly. Saved a significant amount compared to what the local shipping store quoted me.
For larger or heavier items, Shipixy also handles freight — so when I had a few pieces of furniture worth keeping, I used their LTL option rather than a completely separate freight broker. Keeping it all under one platform made tracking and claims much simpler.
