Hello,
I've checked the buseireann website but can't find any buses that run as late as 11 p.m. from Manorhamilton to Sligo or Carrick-on-Shannon to Sligo. Are there buses that late?
Thanks,
Kathy

Can't answer your question, but I am curious. What takes you to Sligo? It was the most unattractive place we visited in three and a half weeks in Ireland last year!
I'm going to Sligo and surrounding areas to study and play traditional Irish music and to hear some fantastic Irish bands. I'll mainly be in Manorhamilton and Carrick-on-Shannon and then later near the Burren and then on the Dingle Peninsula.
Thanks, Kathy. It looks as though no one else has the answer to your question. The Burren is an odd and interesting area and you will love Dingle. We stayed at Ventry just outside Dingle Town and enjoyed the peninsula, despite pretty mixed weather.
Watch signposts of a general nature. They often point directly to the place they are indicating, not the direction you have to take to get there. AN extreme example is one as you leave Dingle pointing to a pitch and putt course and appears to direct you into the watter. However, you discover that the P&P course is indeed, across the bay! We found several examples of this, including one in SLigo directing you to the TI.
