I'll try to cut to the chase. Flying in to LHR on 12/27, supposed to take Eurorail to Paris on 12/30. We are flying out of Paris on 1/4. I am thinking we may not be able to get to Paris or potentially get around much once we get there. So I am looking at going somewhere else and fly into CDG on 12/3. It is $1000 per ticket to change our existing tickets (there are 4 of us). Anyway, we have been to Germany and Switzerland before. I was thinking about looking to fly to either Rome/Florence or perhaps back to Switzerland. Any opinions on best place to go in December would be greatly appreciated.
My son is studying abroad so we are meeting him there. He has been to Scotland and is going to Amsterdam, Brussels and Bruge prior to meeting up with us in London.
