laptop chargers for trains

Hi! we're leaving on a few days on aou first trip to Europe. We're now on the final details...

someone told us about a charger for LAPTOPS that works on airplanes, since for an 8 hour flight I don't think our battery it's gonna make it. we don't know where to find it, and we want to know also if there is a similar charger that works on train, AND, of course, if trains in Europe have any kind of plug or something to connect a laptop... any advice???

I was in 2nd class in an EC (EuroCity) train from Würzburg to Nürnberg last fall, and there were 230V receptacles available. I don't remember if it was for every seat, or just selected seats (maybe only by the window?). The receptacles took the standard 2-pin Europlug.

Regional trains and trains in the east tend not to have outlets.

I have never noticed one on a regional train in Germany - maybe you would find them on some of the newer REs. I've never looked.
