Hi,
I'm going to take the Krakow to Prague night train in late June. Right now the cost is about $240 for my wife and I. Should I buy the tickets now, or wait? Does the price tend to go up or down? I read where the Man in Seat 61 said to pre-buy for summer, but I did not know if prices fluctuated at all like airfare.
When there is a range of prices, the cheapest always go on sale at the start and are the first to sell out. This does not sound like a discount rate and I don't think there are advance discounts on this route. They also may be hard to buy online; to what link did the Man in Seat 61 direct you? You can buy at train stations in Europe, even in other countries. The US office of www.euraide.de could also sell the ticket (order by email, not online) with shipping fee.
Thanks Laura. He directs people to http://www.polrail.com/en because he says you can't buy tickets via Polish Railways. I guess I will take the dive. Thanks for the reply.
