KLM sale, not sure I am ready to book for fall travel!!?

I saw a fabulous price on KLM from Edmonton to Nice returning from Madrid departing in October. I have booked a RS Spain tour but have not completely figured out my plans around the tour!

Here are my tentative plans, I am unsure of exactly the number of days pre & post tour.

Fly to Nice, stay in Villefranche-sur-Mer for a few days, one of my fave places
A few days in and around Barcelona pre- tour
October 19: Tour begins in Barcelona
Nov 1: tour ends in Seville
A few days post-tour in Spain, seeing more near Seville & Madrid.
Not sure of the date: Fly home from Madrid.

The price now is unbelievable. Not sure how long they will stay this low. I have been burned before by waiting to book and prices going up several 100's of dollars.

Any help on number of days pre & post tour would be great. I could stay in Europe for 1 month.

What do you mean by fabulous? I've noticed that KLM is promoting their new Edmonton flights, so it might be your best bet now. We've been watching KLM for April and/or June and haven't seen under 1300 ish

Under $900!!!! Edmonton-Amsterdam, then to Nice. Return is only 2 flights too. Maybe you need to get to Edmonton first for your trip?!?

I'd say that you do have enough of a plan to book plane tickets now and fill in the details around them. I probably don't have any more plan than this when I book. Then, you have a firm framework that you're "stuck with" and you find the best way to fill it in. A train from Nice to Barcelona takes about 8 hours, so also consider flights within Europe at www.skyscanner.com.

Thanks for the advice. I have purchased my ticket, splurging for business class TO Europe, economy returning. I can work some overtime to pay for the extra, or win the Lotto tonight!

I can now carve out some more details and perhaps some apartment rentals.

I appreciate the help.
