Killed the utensils thread

We learned everything that might be learned and had a few laughs, eventually ran out of upside as things dragged on.

Thanks for playing all! Fun while it lasted.

The string was a mix of the useful, the disappointing, and the disturbing.

que?

You missed the discussion on the variations of how a knife and fork are used, depending on where 'home' is?

He’s from Barcelona.

As for the thread being deleted, I’m distraught, I thought some of my best work was in there (only joking, I’m not averse to my collected wit and wisdom ultimately ending up in the dustbin of history!).

The whole thread was deleted? Didn’t know they did that on this forum.

Thank you, Hank. Couldn’t believe it could drag on so long after the informative responses were posted. Yum yum!

All I know is you use the utensils on the outside and work your way in. Something like that.

Just watch the person next to you. They probably know what they're doing. It's like when I went to a mass with my Catholic friend. I followed the movements of others.

So the whole forking thread is gone?

How about a new one … do you drink with a glass right-side-up, or upside-down? With which hand do you lift it?

Hey, Cyn, I am facing a full shoulder replacement. I can only lift a drink with my right hand. For that matter I will be facing upwards of 5 weeks after surgery not being allowed to work with the other arm, so my knife work will have to be done for me. Guess I better stay home during this!

my wife has injured her right hand - dominant - and I am more than happy to cut food up for her - do it every day.

I have a bit of tendonitis in my dominant elbow, so lately have been eating by simply lowering my face into my plate. Hoping my wife also develops tennis elbow so we might have a Lady and the Tramp moment over a shared plate of spaghetti. 🤞

I miss plastic drinking straws. A soggy paper straw gets nasty.
