Kansas City Area RS Saturday AM travel meeting...BACK to the PLAZA

Okay this month we will move our meeting back to its original home of Panera on the Country Club Plaza.

10AM Saturday November 16th 47th and Pennsylvania.

There is a free parking garage directly across the street.

If you have questions about an upcoming trip our group of regulars should be able to give you some help.

My husband and I and another couple are planning a trip to Paris and Italy next September. Would this be a good time to come and talk to someone? We are planning the trip ourselves. Will there be a charge for this get together? We are Rick Steves followers.....we were in Italy in 2008 and Rick's book was our bible...

Thank you

Tina

Not wishing to steal thunders, but I'm sure that they will be happy to meet you and share their experience.

That's what these meet-ups are all about.

No charge to attend, other than what you buy at the restaurant - - despite claims for franchise fees on other start up meet-ups, just a bit of fun.

You bet it would be a good time. We have some recent travelers to those places so we would be glad for you to come and ask your questions. Nigel was quite correct on the details of these gatherings.

If I get there early enough I go for one of the larger tables. We are usually just to the right after you come down the steps. But just look around for the Blue Rick Steves Books on the table.

Of course any one else is welcome also.

REMINDER! We have moved the location back to the Panera on the Country Club Plaza. (47th and Pennsylvania)

MISC NOTE:
The website use to send me an e-mail notice that someone had made a reply to the original posting. Did not do that for this posting. Perhaps it is a bug that came with the system update????? I will notify the webmaster.

Robert, the Webmaster is aware the problem of people not getting email notifications regarding responses to their threads. They may fix it, but it sounds like that is months away. For now all we can do is check back to the thread to see if there are responses.

Now Nigel, don't go getting into other people's business ;-) Robert knows to send those my way...

KC had a record crowd of 12 on Saturday. 9 regulars and 3 rookies. The rookies are headed to Paris and Italy next fall. I think we had their heads spinning from all the information we offered them. Also heard about Stan's trip to Poland.
KC is also taking December off. The next gathering will be January 18 and will be back at the Liberty Panera 10 AM.

It is always a fun meeting when we can offer help to others. Bring your trip plans and let us help you with ideas and travel tips on January 18th.

Robert,

We had a great time yesterday. Yes our heads were spinning but we got some great pointers. I was on my computer until 10 last night just looking up the sites and info that was given to us. Looking forward to the next meeting. It was so wonderful to meet such people that are so passionate about their travels and willing to share their thoughts and ideas. Thank you all so much. Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season. See you in 2014...yeah the year my husband and I will be traveling...

Wow! Sounds like a great turnout. If people's heads were left spinning, I'd say you've done your job!

-Robert, your receipt for the franchise fees is in the mail... ;-)
