Kansas City Area Rick Steves Travel meeting March 15th 10 AM Liberty MO Panera

Okay it is that time again. It is back to the Liberty MO Panera this month. Just North of 152 Highway west of Liberty (I-35 North exit 16 turn left) Turn Right for one block on the street just before the Waffle House and after Freddy's.

We are still helping two couples planning for their upcoming Paris and Italy trip. Plus there may be a few photo's of Amsterdam and the recent African Photo safari from Rick D. and me.

We are always enjoy helping those planning a first time or 5th time European trip. It is not required but it nice if you let us know you plan to attend attend and your destination. Mostly just show up. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Come in the front door and turn right. We try for the large table under the hanging light fixture but don't always get it. Just look for a copy of Rick's blue book on a table.

BUMP

I have had a private message from a possible attendee for this month's gathering. They are looking for information on a trip this fall to Germany and Austria. They asked a good question.
What is the agenda and what might they learn by attending?

I broke the news to them that there is NO agenda (at least for the KC Area meeting there is no agenda ... it may be different for the other groups around the country) we just talk travel and our travel experiences. And from our group's travel experiences we are able to offer ideas on things to see and do, foods to eat and some basic general travel hints. For the past several months we have been helping some people with their upcoming Paris and Italy trip. And now maybe we will be able to help some new 1st time travelers with their Germany and Austria plans.
We are always looking for new people to help because it is fun to talk about and share information about travel.

That is the whole idea of these 3rd Saturday Rick Steves Groups. Plus it is a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

In Denver we have no agenda either, but if someone notifies the group about an upcoming trip, people generously share maps & guidebooks & trip info. Last month I had a whole table full of maps to look at for my upcoming trip to Germany. It's fun to talk travel with other travel enthusiasts. Hope you get a good turnout, Robert!

Thanks Robert, we are that new couple. Will plan to see you Saturday.

We have booked a RT into Frankfurt with our miles non-stop thru DFW with a great time schedule on both ends. Going on Sept 22 for 15 days until Oct 7. I know Oktoberfest will be going on during much of this time, so we plan to go for a couple of days. Other than that we have a clean piece of paper. Want to see Germany and Austria, but maybe Budapest as well if time permits.

We have traveled Italy twice on two different routes, but we are complete novices to Central Europe and limited international travel experience outside of cruises.

Looking forward to Saturday.
