Join Us? Atlanta Group Meeting - July 16 - Carlos Museum Tour

Instead of traveling to Greece or Italy this summer, we're planning to meet to tour the Classical collection of the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the campus of Emory University. I'll led the tour that will begin at noon and will last approximately 50-60 minutes. After the tour, we'll go to to lunch either at the museum restaurant or an Emory village location nearby to talk travel! Here's a link to "Directions and Parking:" http://www.carlos.emory.edu/directions-parking Parking is free on Saturdays and I'll try to score enough guest passes to cover the entry fee. If you'd like to join us, meet by the first floor Museum Bookshop at 12:00 on July 16!

Sharon, that sounds like fun. Unfortunately you are making our Sacramento group look bad. We can't have that. How will we hold our heads up at Panera, knowing that our cultural experience will have to rival a museum? Maybe if we sit outside we can pretend we're at a Parsian cafe. That's almost as good...right? :-)

Hi Andrea! We are fortunate to have adventurous and enthusiastic attendees! It's been fun to explore our city when we can't travel to Europe! Being able to sit at an outdoor cafe in Sacramento is almost as good as being in Paris - especially if you all wear berets and eat chocolate croissants with your cafe au lait! Have a great meeting! Well, dang it, I forgot about the last one, but I have a good excuse for this one. We'll be getting ready to head to the airport to fly to Germany that day. So I'll be armed with lots of good stories for the August one.

Cooler temps and thundershowers forecast for Saturday. Sounds like a good day for a museum visit!?

We have had a family "crisis" (Not a major one, but one that does have us doing some juggling) As a result, I doubt I will make this. SORRY!
