This is a fairly minor problem, but, when I'm using "maps" on my itouch, can I get directions in miles, rather than kilometers, for European locations? My settings are for English and US and, for US locations, directions are in miles.

Nancy, this may have to do with version. I haven't updated my I-Touch recently. I checked apple forum and several people reported that miles changed to km or vice-versa after version 2.2

Nancy, this is the way it works on my I-Touch
Under settings - general - international, when I choose U.S., the maps app shows distances in miles. It does this regardless of whether I choose a U.S. location or a European location.
When I choose United Kingdom (or another European country), the maps app shows distances in kilometers.

I've tried it with several locations in France and Switzerland and always it gives me km.
