Itinerary with young kids - UK + France?

Hi,
We are a family of 5 (3 very young children, ages 5 and 2 and 6 months at the time of travelling).
We are from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will be travelling to England to visit my brother in Fleet, Hampshire, in May for two weeks.
During the first week, we will be staying in Fleet, making day trips to surrounding cities/towns. London is a must, but just for one or two 2 days. What other places do you recommend? The kids are used to travelling and love it. We like walking, exploring, taking new adventures, picnics, parks, farms, animals; but also the city, the theatre, street shows, maybe even a nice children's museum... We will be renting a car, and also will be taking our 5 year old's bike.
The second week, remains an open question. We could either stay in the UK, setting base in one place and making day trips, or go somewhere else. We were thinking about the north of France, but really don't know much where to. If we do go to France, there is a chance that we visit Disney in Paris, for 2 or 3 days. But that's it. No further plans yet. Suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help!

I am glad to see others traveling with young children. We really enjoyed St Fagan's in Wales. We drove into Wales after a visit to Bath. We also are researching the Lake District and the Beatrix Potter sites for our next British trip with the little ones. St Andrews in Scotland was also a nice trip with a toddler. The major museum in Edinburgh kept the kids engaged too.

I loved Bath (almost to the point of obniouxness, I am always commenting on it). I don't have children but I would think its a nice place to travel with small children. There are a lot of squares where street artists/musicians perform that are not accessible by cars and there is a huge park right off the city center. The city center is small so easily walkable. Avebury would also be great. Stonehenge is neat but everything is roped off so I would think that would be stressful with small children who want to see and touch. But there is really room to run around Avebury, touch the stones, etc. There were also a lot of small farms in the area so lots of animals to see.

I agree with the other poster! I think it is great to teach your children to appreciate the world at a young age. What a great family memory.
