Itinerary recommendations - Paris, Neuschwanstein Castle

Hello, We're planning an 11 day trip and need recommendations on what to do. We've already booked 4 nights in Paris this April. We also want to see Neuschwanstein Castle and Prague. We fly home from Zurich on day 11. Any suggestions on an itinerary after Paris?

Since 11 days usually translates into ten nights, you might want to consider dropping Prague due to distance and time required to get there. It almost always takes longer from point A to point B than we think. Four nights in Paris and at least one in Zurich only leaves you five nights. Perhaps Paris, the area around Neuschwanstein, and then finish up in Zurich. Don't mean to rain on your parade, just a thought. TC

I may be in a tiny little minority, but I personally found Neuschwanstein to be way overrated. It's very beautiful from the outside but I didn't realize until I got there that only a few rooms were ever even finished. The whole thing felt weirdly inauthentic to me, given that it's basically a crazy Teutonic romantic's knockoff of an actual castle. I don't know....I get that it's a bucket list essential, but if it were me, I'd probably skip it in favor of Prague.

Hello Carolinesears. Does the 11 days include the day you begin traveling from your home ? If you will fly from North America continent, I guess you will arrive at an airport of Paris on the second day. And subtracting a day for flying from Paris to your home, you would have 8 whole days at Europe. I suggest : go to Paris and Switzerland, only. When you leave Paris, ride in trains to Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland (near Interlocken). Be at Lauterbrunnen 3 nights, and be at Lucerne 2 nights, and fly from Zurich.

We do have a wonderful close up picture of my wife and i standing on the bridge With Neuschwanstein castle in the background.

I was so glad that we decided to walk all the way over to the footbridge. The pic is quite breath taking.
