Itinerary Help - Family travel

Would love some input into this draft itinerary please for our holiday in June/July. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 9. We are coming from Australia and have a total of about 32 days, and I am thinking along these lines:

Paris - 5 days - train to Bordeaux and then hire a car.

Hossegor - 7 days - will do day trips from here, beach time
San Seb - 5 days - day trips, relaxing, beach time
Mundaka - 4 days
Seville - 3 days
Portugal - 8 days

Our interests are beach, being active, sightseeing. My concern is how to get from Mundaka to Seville. Am thinking flying from Bilbao, would this be the quickest and easiest way. From Seville to Portugal we will hire a car and leave it in Portugal (yes I know it will be expensive).

Thanks for any input.

I am not so familiar with these areas, but will say that an Australian going to Europe to hit the beach is like an American going to Europe to eat at McDonald's.

Well said, Tom. Australian and European beaches cannot compare. The only plus for European beaches is they don't have that deadly jelly fish and have very few sharks.

Australians like their beach holidays !!
I would question why three different Basque beach locations. Why not try for a different experience, perhaps the south of France?

Paris - 5 days
Train to Antibes for Cote d'Azur (France)- 7 days
Fly (via Barcelona/Madrid) to Bilbao/San Sebastian (Spain) - 7 days
Train to Madrid - 3 days
Train to Seville - 3 days
Fly to Lisbon for Cascais (Portugal) - 7 days

So 3 very different beach locations, renting a villa/apartment for a week in each.
Get a local hire car for a few days to venture about.
