Does anyone have a suggestion on a bike company to use from Florence to Tuscany for a day bike trip? I have heard wonderful things about it. We are looking for a nice ride, quaint lunch and possible wine tasting. Also, I am going to Italy North and South Sept 5 for two weeks. I believe the weather is pleasant, however, is it more summer or a fall type season?! Thank you so much!

I used this company in 2008: http://tuscany-biketours.com/ We had a great time. I have recommended them to others on this web site and received positive comments from them about their trip. My daughter and her husband will be taking the day trip in September of this year. The price has gone up a bit (it was 60 euros in 2008) but they are still more reasonable than some of the other companies. Have a great trip.

We've used Cicloposse for two trips in Italy, they were 10 day trips, but they also offer one day excursions. Guiliana is fantastic. Speaks English fluently, and is very welcoming. I've heard that summer this year in Europe has been colder than the norm!
