Snow in Austria is breathtaking! I was there in November 2006, in the Salzburg area. The snow up in the mountains, so beautiful, I made Christmas cards from the pictures I took. That is a beautiful part of the world!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Yes, Vienna is also getting the white stuff. 6 to 8 inches so far in the 19th district (North West part of the city, bumping against the Wienerwald.) My kids are so happy --and so am I!

I'm so jealous. Living in Atlanta, we don't get much snow. In fact, they've opened up a fake "Snow Mountain" here where you can go tubing and sledding. It's completely sold out.

This past Christmas, we ate dinner at a restaurant at City Place in West Palm Beach. The restaurant was called Il Bellagio and we were sitting outdoors. The snowfall was expected at 6:30. It started to snow and was actually little, tiny bubbles. When you looked up at the street lights, it looked like a blizzard without all of the slush or cold. That is as much snow as you get here in FL. Southern Germany in the winter is so beautiful and magical... nothing can compare to the winter wonderland.
