ISIC student discount card

Hi. I've been lurking here for a while and have learned a lot from all you world travelers! Does anyone have experience using the ISIC student card that Rick recommends, either for discounts or for the travel insurance? Husband, 18 yo daughter and I are doing the MyWay Europe tour this June/July. Both of them are full-time students. I understand hubby's use may be limited since he's over 26 (!), but I figured if only for the travel insurance it looks like a good deal. Hope someone here has some real-world experience with it you'd share. Thanks!

Only country my wife and daughter used it in is Egypt where there were real discounts to the monuments. I'd suggest that you also check in the Thorntree forum (Lonely Planet website) if folks have experience using this in Europe
