Is it feasible to make a day trip from Paris to the Vimy Ridge memorial?

You could do it by train, but it would be rushed. Trains from Paris take about 2 hours to get to Vimy, via Arras. But the first one won't get you into the town until about 12:30....the last one leaving Vimy to return to Paris departs at 5:50 pm. In between you'll have to cab it to the memorial and back...about 6 km each way. Best bet would be to rent a car and leave early to get in a full day. Highway travel time is 2 to 2 1/2 hours, depending on traffic getting out of Paris. Even rushed, I think you would find it well worth the effort.
