Is this a wise itinerary by rail?

We are flying into Venice and out of Vienna this September. I've been researching train routes and am wondering if this itinerary makes sense.

Day one - Venice (land at noon)

Day two - Venice

Day three - Venice

Day four - Bologna

Day five - CT

Day six - CT

Day seven - CT

Day eight - Bellagio

Day nine - Bellagio

Day ten - Verona

Day eleven - Inssbruck (or Hall)

Day twelve - Salzburg

Day thirteen - Salzburg

Day fourteen - Hallstatt

Day fifteen - Hallstatt

Day sixteen - Melk

Day seventeen - Vienna

Day eighteen - leave Vienna

We've already been to Vienna so are considering cutting out day seventeen and adding the day to one of the one-night stands along the way. Another option we're considering is leaving out CT on this trip, but I'm really hoping to make it work.

Thanks in advance for your opinion.

I think that looks good. You're doing a fair amount of travel, but I don't think you'll be too rushed. I'd leave the CT in. It might not be a bad idea to give away a Vienna day, as you're suggesting.
