I'm new to the RS web site, and the Graffiti Wall and the Helpline seem like a great resource and a big source of help, but I'm having a hard time wading through the messages, is there any way to Search either list?
There is a search box in the upper right-hand corner.
The Search function Michael mentioned is the only one on this site, but I wanted to add that it's not a very efficient search function, don't expect it to be like Google or other search functions, it's hit or miss. Suggest you try lots of words and phrases.
The search function here is a severe limitation of the Helpline. A lot of questions keep getting rehashed over and over again - a lot of this could be avoided if there was a more robust search feature.
You could use Google Advanced Search and in the "Search within a site or domain" box type in ricksteves.com
In the "all these words" box, be sure to type the word graffiti in addition to your other search terms.
Yes, a new and improved search function would be great. Hope the webmaster is listening.
Thanks to Bee for giving us an effective workaround to the less than effective Search function on Rick's site! (her post, 2 above this one). I've experimented with doing what she says, and it does indeed find prior posts more effectively--if you do the Google search exactly as she suggested. If you want to limit your search to the Helpline, include the word helpline in the all these words box.
