I am sorry to post this question here. I really don't know where to post this. This forum had been do much help in all my Europe travels. I was looking thru Amazon and it showed 'Rick Steves Asia thru the Backdoor' if I remenber title correctly. Am thinking of a trip to Hongkong this December. Is there a RIcksteves Forum for asia? Thanks so much

The Asia book has been out of print since 1992, so no Asia forum at this site:( Head over to the Hong Kong forum at tripadvisor.com. Hong Kong is a great place, been there three times. If there is any city where you will want to splurge on a five star hotel, it's HK! They're very decadent, each property tops one another with bigger and better amenities. My favorite would be the Langham Place Hotel in the Mong Kok neighborhood in Kowloon.

sally, For trips to Asia and other parts of the world, your best resource will be the Thorn Tree Forums at Lonely Planet. There are an enormous number of members there, so lots of travel experience. Happy travels!
