You do not tell us what sort of things you are interested in seeing and doing as a traveler, but these are my thoughts:

  • 5 nights is a very, very long time in Brussels, which folks who've been there (I haven't) seem pretty "meh" about.

  • 4 nights is very short for Berlin, a city with many excellent, large museums and nearly uncountable historical sights that take a lot of time to visit. It's spread out, so you have to spend a good bit of time just moving from place to place. Six days was too few for me.

  • 4 nights is a lot of time in Zurich. Not sure it is a great base for day-trips, either.

  • 5 nights in Zermatt I'm not sure about.

  • Bucharest is far from the most interesting place in Romania. It is a fabulous country; I can't imagine spending 4 nights in Bucharest is lieu of the many far more interesting places I saw in 2015. I'd either spend a lot more time in Romania to see at least some of Timisoara, Cluj Napoca, Brasov, Sighisoara, Sibua, Maramures and Bucovina or I would skip the country entirely. It's a large country, and Bucharest isn't positioned well to be a base for day-trips. Even Brasov is at least 3-1/2 hours away by private car. Public transportation would probably be slower. If you want to say you've been to Romania, I highly recommend going to Timisoara instead of Bucharest. It's quite close to the Hungarian border.

  • Alternative, drop Romania altogether and see something else in Hungary in addition to Budapest. You've selected a lot of great destinations, but I'd like to see you include some more small places. That's one of the advantages of being able to take such a long trip.

I'd spend more time in the Netherlands (The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Haarlem, Utrecht), less in Belgium. I find it easier to stay in one town and day trip - so I'd stay in Ghent and day trip to Bruges and Brussels - maybe Antwerp too.

I didn't think Cologne had much to see other than the cathedral. Frankfurt is worth a couple more nights, so you can day trip to Mainz and Weisbaden, even Budingen (pretty medieval town). There are plenty of things to see in Frankfurt too, lots of Jewish history.

I just got back from visiting Poland. Try to fit in Gdansk, which I liked more than Warsaw and Krakow. Are your costs in Can$ or US$? $500 sounds like a lot for Warsaw.

What is that? Where is it? You are being a little too cryptic for us to give you much help.
