Ireland or Prague and Vienna--which would you choose?

The travel time would be late August for Ireland (Dublin, Killarney ending in Shannon) or late September early October for Prague, Salzburg, ending in Vienna.

The Prague Vienna option will cost me $1200 less (before airfare from DFW). But, we will be visiting Germany this September, so Ireland sounds appealing.

It depends on you.

I loved Ireland.

I'm still planning an Eastern swing beginning in Berlin, through Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and down toward Dubrovnick - probably ending and flying home from Venice (I usually go a month at a time).

Because I haven't been to the East yet, that would be my first choice. If you haven't been (and can afford) either, pick the one you most want to see.

I think we'd love both, but thinking Ireland might be better when we can go in the spring.

They both have their own unique charms and are very different from one another. But Prague is the most interesting city I have ever been to and Vienna is amazing. Although Ireland is beautiful, I think I would choose the other two cities.

I would enjoy Prague, Salzburg and Vienna in late September / early October and save the $1200 to do Ireland at a later date.

Prague is great and, to me, Vienna was wonderful. You will be happy that it extends you visit to Germany. We waited much too long to visit Vienna. Don't make the same mistake we did.

I have been to Vienna but I would say that IRELAND stole my heart!
