Is it true you can charge your ipod in europe with only a prong adapter and not those clunky voltage converters? Do you have to do anything special to your ipod first? this sounds too good to be true! Info please!
You just need a plug adapter (and the kind of charger that plugs into the wall, not into the computer). There's nothing special you need to do.
how does this not fry your ipod? Also, does it matter what type of ipod you have? I have an ipod classic.
Hi Linda!
The reason it doesn't fry your ipod is because the charger takes 110-240 volts. Makes sense since Apple sells worldwide - this way they don't have to make different chargers for different countries.
FYI, our family has taken our ipods to Europe and have no problem charging them at all. Given that I have lots of gadgets I got ONE charger for all my goodies and then only have to bring the requisite cables!
Thanks Nancy! That helped a lot!
