Purchase the e-book versions of his guidebooks at either Amazon.com or Itunes. For Amazon you'll need to also install the Kindle app.

Although I'm technologically inept, I somehow managed to download a guidebook to my Ipad2. Go to iBooks on the screen, to Store in the upper left-hand corner, type in Rick Steves in the search and dozens of guides will show up. Then fill in the info for your iTunes account.
