ipad ap for helpline

The new layout for the helpline is really squirrelly when you use it on an IPad, and...is there an ap for that?

I tried accessing the HelpLine last night for the first time since the website re-design, using my iPod Touch. There was a large "empty" block on the left where the photo would be, with the categories listed on the right (the photo may have downloaded in time, but I didn't want to wait). I found that once a particular section was selected (ie: "General Europe"), it seemed to function normally. After "pinching and expanding" the text size, it was perfectly legible. I'm not an expert on the subject, but with websites that also feature mobile access, it's necessary to configure a separate "mobile" section on the Server that provides different formatting for the smaller screens. I think it's important to remember that the HelpLine re-design is still a "work in progress", so hopefully our overworked Webmaster will be able to address this issue in the near future. Cheers!

No ap. It's not so bad if you enlarge it and slide it over to the left. Landscape format seems better.

I agree, pretty half baked redesign. iPhone has the same problem. It would be nice if the webmaster would respond to this issue and whether it is being addressed.

Simply a FWIW or FYI, but I've had no problems with all of this latest re-working of the site on my iTouch. Of course, there's no Flash so none of the 4 'slideshow-type' photos show up in the upper left side of the homepage (thanks, crazy ol' Steve Jobs LOL). YMMV, of course.

Ken, after reading what you said about your Ipod Touch, I tried and it's fine, doesn't look any difference.

It's very broken on the iPad. Yes, you can make it work (sort of), as described by others (using one now...), but it's a pretty bad experience. It doesn't have anything to do with Steve Jobs and his hatred for Flash - it's just a broken HTML/CSS issue. Should be fixable.
