Seeking tips of general or specific nature. I have made several similar lengthy trips in the past. This trip begins 4-7-24 from Ft Lauderdale with a transatlantic cruise ending 14 days later in Rotterdam on 4-21-24.
Train to Amsterdam for 4 days.
Train to Bruge for 2 nights
Train to Paris for 5 nights
Train to London for 6 nights
Trip ends for 2 in my party on 5-9-24
My wife and I take train from London on 5-9-24 to Strasbourg/Baden-Baden/Colmar/ area for 3-4 nights
Train to Vienna for 3 nights then fly home on or about May 18.
Total of about 41 nights
Concerned about train from London, trains in Colmar, Train to Vienna
What are your concerns? You can check trains on the Deutche bahn website ( bahn.com/en). It's way too early to book for those dates. But you can check for the same day of the week within the next couple of months. Looks like each of those trips will require at least a couple of changes of trains. For the London to Colmar trip you will also have to change stations in Paris from Gare du Nord to (probably) Gare de l'Est.

Had you considered flying London to Basel and have just a 40 mile (bus) ride to Colmar? ( Trainline shows a $7 flixbus ride from airport to Colmar.... double check what I found... no personal experience)
Seems simpler than having to change train stations in Paris
Have the ship laundry do your clothes so younstart the land pirtion with clean clothes
If you need to do laundry in England, laundromats are called launderettes in England. There is a website that will give you the location of all launderettes in the UK.
We have done three Transatlantic and one Transpacific cruise and we love them.
I would also fly from Basel or Frankfurt to Vienna. That's another long slog by train. I used to take the overnight Paris-Vienna train before lower-cost plane fares. Long and tiring.
My biggest concern would be the amount of luggage you will have. I know that cruises and packing light don’t always go hand in hand.
I agree with the recommendations of flying vs. train between London and Colmar, and again to Vienna. Sometimes trains save time, but you will have to check in quite a bit in advance for the Eurostar, so I don’t think you’ll save much time. And flying might be cheaper.
