Has anyone ever had a successful stay purchased as a getaway in Europe? If so, where?

Sorry, but we don't know what you mean by a "getaway". All trips to Europe are "getaways" unless your planning to stay a long time (study or work or retirement or emmigration). Please be more specific.

FYI, it's a timeshare... Many people here use timeshares, but maybe not this kind; hopefully someone will chime in.

The getaways can be a fantastic deal. We have done a couple in Europe - the Costa del Sol is pretty easy to get as a getaway as well as Austria - in the mountains but a short train trip to Salzberg. You can get a week in the Alps for about $200. I haven't checked prices for Spain recently.
