Does the brand of camera matter when downloading photos to a CD at internet cafes in Europe? I am looking to buy a Panasonic digital camera but wasn't sure if the card readers at the cafes only read Canon, Nikon (big brand name cameras).

Hi Heidi, the brand will not affect whether or not they can read the cards. The only concern is whether or not they have the right card reader for the format your camera uses. In this situation, I'd recommend bringing the USB cable "just in case".

Panasonic IS a big brand name in Europe. There should be no problems whatsoever.

I've been to Europe for the past 5 years and each year it seems that the number of Internet Cafes decrease. My most recent trip was to Venice just last month and I really had to search diligently for an IC. I remember they USED to be all over the place.
