Ciao, I am traveling to Italy for three months. I needed to get an international health insurence. My insurence company I have in the USA does not cover me internationally. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,
Tanna
Lots of companies sell traveler's health insurance. We use HTH based on friends' good claims experience, but there are many others. http://www.hthtravelinsurance.com/
Check www.insuremytrip.com. There you can compare lots of different policies so you can tailor your insurance to just what you need without additional coverage that you don't.
I do what Nancy does.....insuremytrip.com.
Check out American Express, too, if you have one of their cards. They sell it, as well, quite inexpensively and you can cancel it when you come home. It's important to get any kind of health insurance some time before your trip to cover existing conditions and also, be sure it includes repatriation - paying for your trip home if necessary, should you become disabled in some way.
Make sure your policy includes plenty of money for evacuation coverage.
Thanks everyone for the replies!
