Interlaken sight seeing

We have two and a half days in Interlaken area in July, and would like to do some walks and see some Alps.
What is better the Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn ?
The Schilthorn route appears to have some lovely walks and even a bike hire place at Murren, as things to do after you go to the Schilthorn. Does the Jungfraujoch have similar walks ?
A friend mentioned walks near First - how do these compare ?

In the Jungfrau section the hikes originate from the Kleine Scheidegg rail station. All of the various walks in the region are wroth doing-you really can't wrong no matter which one you choose. In terms of which is ride to the top is better Jungfrau or Schiltorn, its a close call but I like the Jungfrau better. Its more expensive but you get more bang for your buck. You get the scenic views of the glacier valley, and you can take an elevator down to the glacier and walk around for a bit. After that you take the elevator down even deeper, and you can go inside the glacier and enjoy the Ice Sculpture gallery. I did the First to Faulhorn hike last October it really enjoyed it. It seems to be very popular with the locals and their dogs:)

I've not been up the Jungfraujoch, but the Schilthorn side was awesome - with great views of the Jungfrau. We went up in Lauterbrunnen and then hiked towards Gimmelwald with a nice lunch in Murren. We then took the cable car down to the valley and walked to Trummelbach Falls. We then took a bus back to Interlaken. It was one of the best days we had in Switzerland.

Actually, both mountain tops are just great. Michael has a great hint to look at Kleine Scheidegg if hiking is a must. There are great trails down to Grindelwald or Wengen. But, it's just as great on the Schilthorn side of the valley.

CLICK HERE to see a list of hikes in the Berner Oberland. Nice maps as well.
