I'm going to Lourdes next month (March 16) for a few days; I'll fly into Toulouse Airport and take the train from there. Does anyone know if the train is easily accessible from the airport, and whether there is public transportation available in the off-season?
There are regular buses from the airport to the city bus station which is adjacent to the railway station. Full details in English at http://www.toulouse.aeroport.fr/airport/access-transport-car-park/access/public-transportation/navette-city-centre
Thank you, Phillip. Now I know where to start!
I looked at the site you suggested, but it 's a bit confusing. Maybe you can answer this - do I take a "flybus" from the airport to the train station (Matabiou?)? And from there I can get a bus or train? I looked into a couple of bus shuttles from Toulouse but they seem very expensive!
Any advice you can give me will be really appreciated - thanks.
There are no public buses from Toulouse to Lourdes. Take the "Flybus" from the airport to the Toulouse-Matabiau train station. Then take a train from there to Lourdes. There are several trains throughout the day. Once you're in Lourdes you can walk or take a taxi to your hotel.
