Hi,
I'm looking for travel ideas in lively, interesting, affordable (for 1) and safe Mediterranean towns or cities. I'm already booked and committed in Nice, France until July 17/14. I'm open to places along Mediterranean coast; anywhere from Dubrovnik to Barcelona. I have 9 nights free until I must finish in Rome, Italy the morning or early aft of July 26/14 for my flight to Paris and home to Canada. Any ideas are much appreciated, thanks!

Deciding where to go is the hard part, but you can get some ideas at http://www.ricksteves.com/europe. If you do go as far as Dubrovnik or Barcelona, then plan to fly to Rome; see www.skyscanner.com.
