We are interested in using the Iceland Air "free layover in Iceland" option as part of our next trip across the pond. So, why is there no forum here for Iceland?

Look under "Beyond Europe" for blogs and other recommendations. Iceland has so many excellent tourist resources on the web (and Lonely Planet) that there's really no need for Rick Steves to jump in the fray. I've done this layover twice and really enjoyed it.

Trip Advisor has a great Iceland forum as well as lists of things to do, tours, restaurants, hotels and reviews of all of them.
