not boots but the kind that look like "raincoats" for your shoes. As I recall, you slip over your shoes and fold top edge over and secure with a button/loop gizmo. They are very light-weight and pack easily but I can't find them anywhere online. I'll be in Germany in December and need to avoid wet shoes/feet. Thanks.
Try www.amazon.com
I believe older folks used to call these rubbers.
One brand my husband likes is Tingley. You might try shoebuy.com or zappos.com or just google "men's overshoes" and see the choices. Good luck.
JEan - totes has some here is a link:

You should be able to find others as well. Just google "overshoes" and lots of hits will come up.
The ones I have are Neos "Villagers". They're great. Waterproof nylon that folds over and fastens with velcro, and then a short strap with a plastic buckle that clicks open and closed. They have a good sturdy sole but fold down flat for packing.
When going sledding and putting galoshes over our shoes, we'd slip a plastic sandwich baggie over our feet. The galoshes would go on much easier.
Don't forget your wool socks. They make all the difference.
I for one would hate to have to explain the existence of "Tingley rubbers" on the VISA card statement...
Isn't it interesting how words aquire such diverse meanings? I bought the Neo Villagers. Thanks for everyone's advice. Jean
I couldn't resist passing this on. Several years ago while a student at the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College we were visiting the US Navy base in Charleston South Carolina.
We were at the officer's club when one of our members mentioned he had to get some rubbers for his shoes. I still laugh at the shocked comment from one of our American colleagues: Y'all put condoms on your shoes?
