I love advice! 3 weeks in Europe in March, where should we go?

Hello,

I am taking my 16 yo daughter and her 17 yo boyfriend for 3 weeks in March. We have R/T tickets in and out. I'm just trying to put together a fun filled trip.

Likes:
Decent weather
Night life / Cities that don't sleep
Cultural activities
Ruins/ sights / Cathedrals

Dislikes:
Art Museums

Thinking maybe:
Barcelona to Fes to Pisa a few stops in Italy and fly out of Rome.

Open to ideas!

"We have R/T tickets in and out."

To which cities? That will greatly influence what people recommend.

Morocco is a great idea for March, as it's already warm there by then. Add some time in Spain and you've got a great holiday. We do need to know what flights you have before we make specific recommendations.

Have the kids (and you) look at youtube videos and include them in the planning. I have changed my mind many times after seeing videos of certain places :)

We are going in & out of Stockholm. Not really planning on spending more than the day in and the day before we leave there.

What about Istanbul / Athens / Israel / Rome?

It's really important for me to be in cities that have night activities. As I'm not leaving these two alone and I really don't want to be sitting around a hotel room every night staring at them for hours :)

Berlin is not far from Stockholm and fits your bill except for the decent weather part ;) It's pretty inexpensive compared to the rest of Western Europe and may instill a wanderlust in your daughter-it's a fairly youth-oriented city with cute clothing boutiques and dance clubs spread out all over. Maybe worth a few days of your time!

Whilst I would still go there today, given the current situation, I am not so sure with so much uncertainty in Europe that I would plan ahead for Istanbul or Athens in March.

I would stick to the big cities with lots of museum options to keep you indoors out of the cold.
These 'city pairs' which have easy train journeys between them.
Choose x2 pairs, and spend 5 days in each city.
** Paris & Amsterdam
** Florence & Rome
** Barcelona & Madrid
** Berlin & Munich

Check some flight possibilities on skyscanner.com. Using Stockholm as your airport and Everywhere as your destination you can see lot of flying options for <$100 pp to most of the destinations that have been mentioned plus countless more. You could easily fly from Stockholm to X to Y and back to Stockholm for a couple hundred $ pp. Athens, Rome, Paris, Istanbul, London, Berlin, Madrid, so much to choose from. Tough decision :-)

Prague...has a nightlife and is reasonably cheap compared to other cities.
