I have planed a 107 days trip to Scandinavia and just realized it is too long. The visa does not sound like a successful way to go. I was thinking of flying to Scotland. What suggestions are out there ?

Not mind reader. What suggestions for what? Just stay out of the Schengen zone countries for at least 17 days and keep some documentation to prove it.

Frank is right. If a visa isn't possible or feasible, staying out of the Schengen zone is the only answer, wherever you choose to do that.
