I accidently deleted pictures from Amsterdam, Bacharach, Munich, Venice

There are online pix from virtually everywhere in Europe. Why not download them?

Hi David, that really stinks :( I recently went to Amsterdam and Venice, so I can help you with pictures from there. When I posted my pictures, I made a separate gallery for each day, so that's why there are so many links. Hope these help:

Sorry I can't help with pictures, but I had some advice. If you deleted the pictures while you were still on your trip you could have switched to another memory card and had the images retrieved when you got back. As long as you don't shoot over the missing images they can probably be retrieved at a camera shop or with data retrieval software.

David....as Nancy says, they can be saved, as long as you haven't used the card that had the photos on it....in fact, even if you have, or even formatted it, they may still be saved. Coincidentally, this was discussed about three weeks ago. It's very easy to recover files off a memory card. There are lots of free programs which can be download that will easily do this; you can find a listing here:

Mosts photo places which offer this service are most likely using one of these freebies.

thanks everyone. However, regretfully it's too late. I wrote over the card on the trip thinking that I made a horrible mistake. Now I made 2 mistakes. Can I redeem the pictures if i have filled that card with new pictures? Dave

I will be heading to Germany in about three and half weeks. I will be visiting Rothenburg and Munich as part of my trip. If there is anything in particular you want I would be happy to take some pictures for you. Let me know! You would also need to remind me as I have a forgetful memory these days.

All you can do is try and see if it works. The link listed by Norm will show the website and the program I downloaded (z-a recovery). I retrieved the majority of my pictures. Some were garbled (i.e. 4 pictures in one), others were partials. Good luck.
