Huge drop in airfare - Check now

I have been tracking prices daily for open jaw tickets, sfo - mad, cmn (Casablanca) - sfo for April travel. About a week ago, I passed up a price of $1100/pp, and have been regretting it, because prices have been running over $1300 ever since. This morning I was amazed to see $627/pp. it was available on all the lines affiliated with Delta; KLM, Air France, etc. that was a price booked with the air line, not with a 3rd party. Of course, I immediately jumped on it.

Congratulations, Rosalyn. That's a nearly unbelievable price from California to Spain in April. It's a shame we can't stock up on tickets when we see a deal like that, and use them in later years.

My word! That is an excellent price! I'm glad you went for it.

Way snag a terrific price! It's tough finding fares in that price range from here in CA.

Just a footnote on how wacky flight pricing is. Out of curiosity, I just checked - - 7:15 pm, same day. Those amazing prices have disappeared. Everything on Delta and friends is back to the over $1300/pp range. None of mythical factors were at play when the amazing price popped up. It wasn’t a Tuesday, nor late at night. It wasn’t a holiday period. I’m in Delta’s ff program, but received no notice of a sale. Go figure!

Nice work.

You never know about airfares. In late September I booked Boston-Paris round trip for April-May travel at $492 including checked bags and advance seat selection. The same trip today is close to $1,000.

My itinerary (April to Madrid, August back from London) has been at approximately these prices since I began tracking it a bit over a month ago: $900 (sat there for at least 2 weeks), $600, $1100ish, $635, $1194. And I probably missed some changes along the way. Having bought the ticket, I have only a casual interest in the situation.
