Will be in Rome to see The Vatican on a Sat in late July and the Coloseum on Sunday. R S suggests the Angel Tours, so wondering if you've used them and suggest it or what? Thanks lots.....did think I saw where you can buy a Rome Pass that perhaps includes these 2 admission fees. Appreciate input lots! Cheers!

We took a tour of the Vatican with Angeltours and enjoyed it very much. I would certainly recommend them. The group was bigger than anticipated but I think that was rather unusual considering the reports here from other tourists who've used them.

I don't think the Vatican is included in the Roma Pass. Remember: the Vatican is not a part of Rome, not even a part of Italy ...

We were very pleased with the Angel Tours. They may not be as polished as other tours. They use English speaking art students who may have too much knowledge and are too eager to tell you everything they know. But there is no doubting their enthusiasm.

I highly recommend Angel Tours. We used them for the Vatican and wishes we had for other sites in Rome.

You can also purchase a tour directly through the Vatican website that includes the admission and allows you to bypass much of the line to get in for 30 euros. Through Eternity and Eden walks also have excellent tours.

You can also purchase a tour directly through the Vatican website that includes the admission and allows you to bypass much of the line to get in for 30 euros. Through Eternity and Eden walks also have excellent tours. Your Roma Pass will be good for admission to the Coloseum/Palatine/Forum which counts as one admission, then you can choose one other site from the list on their homepage. The Vatican is not part of the Roma Pass system. Check the Roma Pass site and see if you will be visitingat least two of the places on the list. The pass also includes three days of bus/metro travel and includes further discounts at the sites on the list after you've used your two free admissions. If you will be visiting two sites on the list and using the bus/metro system then the Roma Pass is a good purchase.
