Roberto de Firenze: That's one wild and cool name!

Maybe some day we can do anything without leaving the comfort of our recliner. I have one with a cooler in it for beer. I can stay there for days. Virtual travel is almost here.

James E., you seem rather confident.

Why do that when there are modern recliners with everything you need? Cooler, massage, heating oven/microwave, sleep number, electrical hookups, and remote control adjustable heating, reclining, and massage?

Thanks, Roberto! Did some of the Florence walk and am looking forward to a few more virtual rambles. I only wish you could stop/restart the footage if you can't do it all in one sitting or have an interruption. (Edit: see my post of how to do that below.)

LOL, it was amusing to take note of the attire of some of the tourists in the looooong line for the duomo? Wonder how many of the bare-shouldered/thigh-flaunters were rejected at the door. Then again, maybe they're not so strict about that these days as I noticed some supposedly verboten attire inside the church as well?

A helpful tip from samuelito in Roberto's thread about the these walks in the Italy forum? Expand the righthand sidebar by clicking on the "hamburger", and then click "Video Source" at the bottom of that sidebar. It'll take you to the youtube versions that allow for pausing, backing up, etc.
