If one's vacation is something that needs to use the word "survive" in front of it, I expect it is time to change the vacation plans. Europe will be crowded. There will be strikes. It may be hot. Okay, so what is the issue? Anyone planning a trip already knows this and has accounted for these challenges. Travel anywhere rarely goes completely smoothly any more, but it still beats staying home!

Wolters said to try and avoid late day flights as delays accumulate as the day goes on, but of course that's not always practicable.

I doubt his videos are produced for experienced travelers.

Some parts of Europe will be crowded, but there will be many opportunities to go outside the beaten path and find less crowded places.

I can't watch Wolter's videos - too basic and generally repeating things you already know if you've been to Europe once and paid attention.

He certainly was out in front of the YouTube influencer thing though. Good for him cutting out a niche before the horde of competition showed up.

He totally overlooked that covid infections are still a thing, especially with so many people traveling without any safety measures this summer.

Just had my two week trip to Poland ruined because my travel partner caught covid at the airport.

He is, I think, the best known American who helps fellow Americans to
visit Europe. So that is a good thing, surely.

Rick Steves idealizes Europe in his videos, Wolters World, to me at least, seems a bit more down to earth. I like watching both for different reasons.
