Not until the person replies back to you. Your original message will be underneath their reply.
Another way to see your private message is, after you have finished typing it and push "send", you will get a small box that says "Your message has been successfully sent". At that point, you can push the "back" key on your computer and go back a page to read what you had written. Even if you have returned to the main Travel Forum pages, you can still push the "back" key several times, and it will take you back several pages until you reach the page where you composed the PM.
Another option is to pull down the "History" tab and look through the list of pages you have been to on your computer. If you see one that says "Compose Private Message", click on it. That's the page that should be the one on which you composed your PM.
Other than that, there is no way to retrieve it.
Thanks very much for letting me know!!
I was wondering if there was any type of personal profile setting such as: "Send a copy of my private messages to myself"
Appreciate it!

On the "Edit Profile", you can check a box that says, "Email me my private messages." This will not retrieve your private messages you have already sent out. It will only email you when someone replies to the message. Or sends you a PM. That will be sent to your email address, so you will be alerted that someone else has sent you a PM.
This is not a method for retrieving your already-sent PM's.
"I was wondering if there was any type of personal profile setting such as: "Send a copy of my private messages to myself"--No.

Nope. Sorry! Admittedly, our PM system is rudimentary and not feature rich. It works well for its stated purpose, but it is not a good archival tool. Adding support for viewing sent PMs is on our to-do list, but don't expect it anytime soon.
