Hi, I have been traveling in Europe for 11 days now. I am so thankful with all everyone's help 2 months ago to plan our trip. I am in Venice now and going to take Wizz Air from Venice Treviso airport to Prague on April 10. My question is : how to get to the boat hotel from Prague airport? and how much will cost? I researched all over the internet and couldn't find any infos...I tried to email the hotel but no email address available. Please help - Thank you very very much!!! Winny
Your question is answered on this website: http://www.botelmatylda.cz/en/contact3.php
Stations obviously will be written in Czech so: Karlovo Square=Karlovo namesti, Jiraskovo Square=Jiraskovo namesti
Specifically, that is airport bus 100, it ends at the Western terminus of the "B" Metro (station is Zlicin). You take the Metro to the 10th stop, "Karlovo Nam" (the preceding stop is "Andel". I don't understand the hotel's instruction for Tram 17 as that does not stop at the Metro per my map, and you would have to walk to it. Per my map, there is no tram track on Resslova, so even if the 17 has been rerouted, you will have to just as far to get to it as the following: From the metro, walk West, toward the river, on Resslova, it is 1/3 f a mile to the hotel.
Fare is 26kc for 75 minutes, which is enough time for the total of this trip.
Because progress is unstoppable I have to update Larry's information. The single ticket cost now 32 Kc and is valid for 90 minutes. Ticket for 24 Kc is valid for 30 minutes. That would not be enough. Or if you plan to be using public transport you can buy ticket for 110 Kc which you can repeatedly use for 24 hours. Ticket for 72 hours cost 310 Kc. If your luggage is bigger than 25x45x70 cm you have to buy ticket for it for 16 Kc. The instructions on the website are correct. You get off metro train at Karlovo namesti and exit toward Palackeho namesti. You will board tram #17 and go one stop north (when you face Vltava River, take the tram which goes right).
Unless there is a Metro exit near the river at Paleckeho Nam, AND the metro car stop near it as opposed to between the exits, you will walk just as far to get to the tram and the river as you would walk from the Metro exit at Resslova marked on Prague maps to get to the river by the hotel.
Yes, the info is correct that the fare has increased from 26 to 32 kc since we visited in 2010.
Thanks everyone's tips and the hotel web link:) I have been doing good with the public transportation except one time at Nice airport. I love to use the public transportation, cheap and realizable. I hate to negotiate with taxi driver and sometimes they charge you even more when you arrived the destination :/ I am going to on to Prague and Amsterdam and thanks again for all the help. I will report to all of you later - have a nice day:)

Hi Everyone: We are back and want to let you know that your direction to our hotel was so perfect. New information: The cost of 90 minutes ticket is 32kc(it covered the bus and metro within 90 minutes) The #100 bus connected to "B" Metro, we got off exactly at the 10th stop. I didn't take the #17 tram because I didn't see the tram station until I walked to my boat hotel. I could actually took that #17 tram(bus) to my location but we only walked a few blocks so it was not too far from the Metro station. One thing is important to let people know that they must validate their ticket when they enter the first transportation. We got stopped twice by officer/police at the metro exit. We would get a 600kc penalty if we didn't validate our tickets. Thanks again!!!
